School Counselors are vital members of the education team at Park View Middle School. They work with all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal/social development and career development, ensuring that today's students become the productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow. Counselors see students for individual appointments, during classroom guidance, and in small groups as needed. Parents or teachers are able to request that the school counselor speak with a student.

The Role of the School Social Worker
School Social Workers serve as a vital link between school, home, and community. They collaborate closely with students, families, and staff to assess all barriers that may be affecting a child's educational adjustment or engagement in learning. School Social Workers are accessible to all students to create individualized interventions to resotre social, emotional, behavorial, and academic areas. In these areas, School Social Workers meet with students individually or in a small group setting. Referring and supporting families to find resources such as outside mental health agencies, housing, food, and transportation etc. are a key part of the role.
